Should you start a Google+ page for your business?

A page doesn’t get notifications by email, text or in the Google+ bar, so it’s hard to keep on top of your discussions. Unless you’re a big brand with Google Direct Connect you don’t own the page name. Currently few social media management tools offer Google+ support, though Hootsuite will be soon.

Am I talking to myself over here? My Feedburner saga

Once Google took it over it just wasn’t reliable. If, like many people you never migrated your Feedburner account to Google you don’t even have to now. I migrated my clients from Feedburner some time ago because the service was getting a little sketchy. Sometimes the feed would work, sometimes it would appear to be empty.

I think there are a few improvements to make it a little more social, like allowing users to post a link to their channel to make it easier for others to find, (right now a link to your channel goes to the app download page), adding some more sharing options, especially Google+ and email.
