If you ask me what my Klout score is …I’ll likely vomit. They use numbers like “friends”, “followers” and…ewww…”Klout” to determine whether they are doing social right. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. So, should you ignore the numbers? To what avail?

Like a lot of people, I’m registered on both Klout and Peerindex , which both attempt to track my online influence in slightly different ways to give one overall score which can be compared to others in my areas of interest. Tancredi, headphones and promo information all via Peerindex. Measuring influence or just tracking loyalty?

Now your Google+, your Foursquare. There’s a lot of conversation these days about influence or outreach and Klout , with Klout’s new algorithm change recently. You know what I’m talking about. You’ve got to write a book. You have to keep up your blog. You have to keep up your Twitter stream.
