To take advantage of the Google Reader downtime they’ve turned off free accounts (which didn’t allow more than 64 feeds) so this may come back in the future. Netvibes – they’ve been around for as long as I can remember, so it should give you some hope they’ll be sticking around.

I use netvibes personally. I still cant believe this functionality hasnt been integrated into (all) readers. You dont need to use a third-party online feed filtering service on the Mac. I recommend NetNewsWire, a free desktop feed reader that will filter all of your subscriptions simultaneously using "Smart Lists".
