Heres a brief play-by-play: First, Googles Social Search feature graduated from an opt-in Google Labs experiment to a default feature on Google.com for signed in users - although it wont leverage much of Facebook. and will include smart answers and other guided search features within Facebook. And there you have it.

  The best way to improve this logo, to me, would be to replace the silver ring with the recognizable gold that the old logo featured. Facebook, Myspace etc are just the start. For example, when someone posted a video parody on YouTube, it was featured in local Philippine television. People will share content on mobile devices through IR/SMS/email. Not one of them has a blog (solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers etc). It really worries me! Answers Yahoo!
