Yahoo’s recent announcement of it’s intent to purchase Tumblr has brought out the virtual fangs. Is that passion enough to keep their pages safe from being “Yahoo’ed?” Is that passion enough to keep their pages safe from being “Yahoo’ed?” How about Facebook?

So now we have Google + and it may have a chance but… What you need to understand in this social space is that the longer they(Google, Facebook, MSN, Apple, Yahoo, et al) can keep you in network, the better. Google + is cool, it may even fill a need, but is it a Facebook killer? Should Facebook be worried?

Facebook has taken that aspect of MySpace, and simplified and reduced the ability to create, and amplified the ability to connect and share- and 500 million people have embraced it. Social media sites that are currently supported include, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, FriendFeed and Flickr. Messenger services are available through Google Talk, AIM, Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger. i.e. Facebook is family and friends. I don’t want my Facebook friends to receive my Twitter updates.
