Apparently Facebook isn’t satisfied with targeting advertisements to you in the right-rail of the Facebook user experience. think about it…when was the last time you actually looked at anything in that annoying ticker widget? Obviously, Facebook has to make money. Do you care if Facebook targets ads to you?

Through the use of a custom browser widget, Pinterest members can capture media from any public Web site or blog and “pin” it to a virtual pinboard, usually organized around a specific topic (e.g “cool shoes”, “food I’d like to try”, or “my art”). And what about Google+?

The blogger (Professor Jutras) posts his ideas, occasionally throws in some editorial and takes some light, widget-fed microblogging (the current events some students share). The professors’ styles feel like a comparison of LinkedIn and Facebook. One gets to know the people on Facebook better because of the depth of sharing.

That doesn’t typically fly elsewhere (Facebook will kill the account), but Times Square on Friendster required 2 accounts at the time because I maxed out on the initial 500 person limit. The High Point: Facebook In 2004, I joined Facebook and my behavior changed drastically. I had many friends just like that.
