If you are a tablet owner, though, you probably know that apps like Twitter and Facebook treat your tablet as a mobile device by default. Personally, I hate the stripped-down, ad-heavy versions of the Facebook and Twitter apps, so I browse them using the native desktop view in Safari or Chrome. facebook in standard view - Nope.

Most of the time, Facebook works just fine. Here’s how you can quickly fix some of the most common Facebook bugs. Facebook Messenger Keeps Displaying a Notification of a New Message, But There Isn’t One. When you click on the Facebook app, it shows an unread Messenger chat, but when you go there, no unread message exists.

Social and mobile…they go together like peanut butter and jelly. The fact that our mobile devices are so portable means they go everywhere with us. And the reduced price of smartphones and data plans means that our social channels tend to go wherever our mobile devices go. Walk outside, smell the flowers, pet a cat.

This is one of those strange little glitches that keeps popping up in the Facebook mobile app. Basically, when you open the Facebook app, it shows you the icon that you have a new message in the Messenger app. Even though the Facebook Messenger app doesn’t show you a new or unread message, you probably have one.

The gift card was used to purchase meals for my family while we tried out the new mobile app. They actually use social media channels like Twitter and Facebook to talk with their customers…something that a lot of other big brands are still trying to figure out. This game is essentially the same thing in a mobile format.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of stink over the fact that Facebook is splitting its messaging functionality out into a new Messenger app. If you’re concerned with Facebook listening in on your conversations, maybe you should rethink what activities you’re engaged in. You can still text. You can still email.

A while back, I wrote a post about clearing the Facebook Messenger notification icon when there were actually no unread messages. If you use the desktop version of Facebook a lot AND you use Facebook Messenger, you’ll know exactly what she’s talking about. So pissed that this issue is wasting my time.
