Hawaii is celebrating its 50th year as a state this year, the Weiner mobile started in 1936, making the Weinermobile the older of the two. Oscar Meyer’s stunt is perhaps the oldest and longest running mobile marketing campaign in the country. The Oscar Myer Weinermobile makes an appearance in Hawaii this week.

At a City of Honolulu sponsored hackathon, a citizen developed a mobile app, DaBus, which adds functionality to the bus system with GPS tracking and to the minute updates on bus schedules and locations. Facebook & Twitter Uses Change Users in the 55+ demographic increased their usage of Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile users in the coveted 35-54 demographic decreased on both Facebook and Twitter, but only slightly and in practically statistically insignificant numbers.
