It means and it has meant for quite some time, that loyalty can be bought and our “likes’, our follows and “friendships&# can go to the highest bidder.

I’m the biggest proponent of social media that you could possibly find but I am also the one that told my daughter that she doesn’t need Facebook. She’s 14. I also told a group of 400 parents and educators that anyone under the age of 16 doesn’t need to be on a social network. I got a standing ovation for that one.
