I’ve felt a growing sense that Facebook might have already peaked and is currently beginning to slide. The only missing piece to truly escalate that slide is an alternative to do better what Facebook fails at. That being said, here are the 5 reasons I think Facebook is on the decline: 1. Their Apps Are Terrible.

Round up as many Facebook friends and Twitter followers that you can! I work in social media, and my Klout score has absolutely ZERO influence on the clients I work with, obtain, or my career path quite frankly. A Klout score in and of itself is not enough to truly measure ones social influence. You are the future now.

Increasing my distribution, influence and reach. Also, by having your content on respected, relevant channels in addition to your own, you inherently increase your influence and reputation by being associated with other experts in the same industry. Share this on Facebook. So why would I be willing to just serve it up for free?

You get access to usual stats around followers, tweets, mentions and retweets for Twitter as well as fans, comments, mentions and likes for your Facebook page. In addition, Crowdbooster also was able to comb through my following and identify a group of high influencers based on their Klout score that recommended me connecting with as well.

I’ve been wanting to write more about these services, but not until I was able to really give them a good try and for the past few weeks, I’ve immersed myself into really 3 choices, Facebook Places , Foursquare and Whrrl. Checking in to similar types of establishments earns you points towards those societies making you more of an influencer.
