Sure, now I have the images and videos to help me relive this event. Whether I’ve missed a home run checking in on Foursquare to a baseball game or gotten too caught up instagramming my food to actually take the first bite, more and more social media has seemed to take away from instead of adding to my real life experiences.

Furthermore, five percent of cell owners use their phones to check in to locations using geosocial services (like Foursquare or Gowalla ). I recently convinced my boss to get on Foursquare for promotional reasons for her company, allowing us to add paperless promotions to events. Seeing these results shocked me a bit.
