Would you pay for an adless Facebook?

There were a few blogs on the topic ranging from slamming the company to questioning and polling their readers to see if they would be willing to pay for an adless version of the social network. After thinking through the process, I wouldn’t; and don’t think the majority of the billion-plus users of the social network would either.

It brings into question as to whether or not LinkedIn comes across worse to users by populating their front page with articles on the globe’s biggest social network.

What do you suck at?

Heck, it is the reason 90% of people are on a social network – to tell the world how awesome they (or their company) are. I try the whole saying a name back to a person, creating a memory trick like they talk about in Moonwalking with Einstein and associating a person with an event, but none have worked to satisfaction.

Next week is also a short week of sorts as I’ll be headed to Chicago to speak at the WOMMA event as part of the city’s social media week, which I am excited about. Football social network Bantr expands from the UK into Spain and Italy – this is not football, but rather the game we Americans call soccer.
