If you have a website that depends on traffic from search engines then your reputation is vulnerable to external forces. Create Wikipedia articles, electronic press releases; leave comments on forums and blogs even those with <nofollow> attributes. Use PPC to improve traffic to domains.

Google is one of the top search engines in the world, and it is continuously upgrading the search engine to understand the behaviour of the links. That is why they have recently launched two more nofollow link attributes that is UGC and sponsored. In Search Engine Optimization , no follow is an attribute you add to a hyperlink.

Links help search engines measure your site’s authority. For example, Wikipedia has a DA of 100, the highest possible score. Sites with a DA of 60 or less are far more common, but arguably 10,000 times less than authoritative as Wikipedia. You can see some of the basics in the Moz Ranking Factors Study. I’ll take it!

It’s important to advantage of search engines by building link equity, flattening your blog, and using other SEO tactics to make sure your content is getting the attention it deserves. Deep sites tend to waste link equity, partly because the search engines see the higher level pages as more important.

The phrase is very competitive and gets around 40,000 exact searches per month in Google so I think this shows that quality content around a topic (which attracts links) is really what Google and other search engines want to provide their audience. To our success in May! Turning 21, becoming a grown up eh? That’s a MAJOR achievment!

I like to focus on building search engine traffic to my sites because once you have rankings you can usually sustain them with little effort and the traffic they send is very targeted. If you’re entering an industry with a brand new site, the last thing you want to do is wait that long for some good search engine traffic.

The top results for most keyphrases are either a Wikipedia page, a site that is very focused around community, or a clear leader in an industry. There are exceptions, but links tend to go to social sites (even Wikipedia has social aspects) by the people who use them. No, I never write blog posts just for search engines.
