With the news that Posterous will be closing on April 30, 2013 , many people are now looking to export their content and start to publish on a different platform. So assuming you don’t want to move from Posterous to another third party service like WordPress.com, Tumblr etc, what do you need to do?

The technologies that are available influence traditional marketing tactics already. In some cases, they magnify each other. Tweet This!

For example let’s try tweeting from Canva’s blog. You can gain more credibility and followers at the same time by embedding social media posts, of people praising you, on your website. An example of a site making the most of this is Live Chat. On their testimonials page they have embedded tweets from happy customers.

Here’s an example from when I was on the Content Pros podcast recently: (Note: We are working on adding some audio to these, probably a short description from the hosts, plus music) . But once your blog is more established you could open it up for guest posters, or even hire someone to write for your blog. As well as linking to and quoting from other people’s content, you can include their content by embedding it. The most obvious examples here are YouTube videos and tweets. 10: Write a Research Post.
