sean soritaToday’s #Social PR Spotlight shines on Sean Sorita, who became a Social PR Virtuoso in May 2016.

What really impresses me about Sean is not just his determination to secure a good entry-level PR position, and realizing he needs to keep his skill set updated (hence the Virtuoso Master Course) in order to do so, but his cheerful outlook on life. He’s so positive, through and through, even when the chips are down. Hats off to you, Sean!

Introduce yourself – who are you and what do you do?

Hi, my name is Sean Sorita (my Zodiac sign is Pisces). I was born in the beautiful city of Santa Monica, and currently live in Culver City. A Japanese-American (my father was born in Japan), I currently work at Manatt Phelps, and Phillips, a prestigious law firm in West Los Angeles, as a records clerk.

My ultimate dream career is to become a Hollywood publicist to celebrities in music, movies and television. You can check out my PR portfolio at http://www.seansoritawix.com.

Why do you care about Social PR?

In today’s society, news comes to us very quickly through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and the Internet. The downside of instant news is that people are relying on it as a source of fact without questioning it or using the power of logic and deductive reasoning to sort fact from fiction.

Social PR should be informative and engaging.

What is your secret Social PR Superhero power?

My secret Social PR Superhero power is using the power of intuition to understand people’s true talents and desires on a spiritual and physical level. The magical power of spirituality is a powerful wizard tool that I use in connecting with others that I meet.

How are you using the Social PR Virtuoso Master Course to grow your Social PR superpowers?

I am using the awesome videos and outlines on the Master Course to further my knowledge on the topic of Social PR, as I’m rather new to the PR world. I plan on using the Social PR Virtuoso Master Course as my guide when I land my first entry-level PR position.

What is one Social PR campaign you’re in love with? Why?

The social PR campaign that I am in love with is Esurance Pass It On. The insurance company in the contest gives $1 million dollars to a group of lucky winners, whose task is to simply retweet Esurance’s page on Twitter.

It is ingenious in its very simplicity. I am sure that everyone wants to win $1 million, right? And it’s easy to “pass it on.” I think the Esurance marketing team did a great job in attracting people to sign up for their contest.

What tip(s) would you give those starting on the road to Superhero-level Social PR?

Finding a great PR mentor to guide them and networking at PR events in their local area would be the two best tips that I would give people who are starting on the road to Superhero Social PR.

Who inspires you? Why?

Oprah Winfrey. Ms. Winfrey was the first woman to have a successful TV network (OWN). She’s a self-made billionaire, which is very impressive. She gives a lot of her money to charity, along with guiding and helping others to be great as her. Lastly, she is a very spiritual person who uses the Law of Attraction in a positive way to make her dreams come to fruition. She is a great role model for our society.

If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Lasagna, and now I have to let you in on a secret: I am a huge pasta lover at heart! Lasagna has been my favorite food since I was a kid. So lasagna, lasagna, lasagna!

Sounds cheesy and delicious! You can learn more about and talk to Sean via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
