About two and a half years ago, I met Patrick Reyes for lunch in Grand Rapids, Mich.

I was there speaking and he (kindly) drove down from Detroit to dine with me.

During lunch he asked me if I knew Bryan Willmert. I said I did not and he made an extra point of telling me I needed to find, and follow, him on Twitter.

Am I glad he did! Bryan and I became fast friends, creating a bond around our love for the Chicago Bears and watching them beat Patrick’s Detroit Lions every time they play each other in Chicago (and, until this year, in Detroit too).

We met in person last year when the Bears played the Lions and Patrick and Bryan drove down to go to the game with me.

How do I explain Bryan? He’s smart, he’s witty, he’s funny, he talks some great football smack, and he’s just a really good friend.

He remembers insignificant events that make you feel good that he remembered and he supports everything that you do.

Professionally, he does strategy and account work at DBA Worldwide, working on both consumer and financial services brands.

He’s super creative and loves this thing we call the interwebz. So much so, in fact, that you can find him on About.me, BryanWillmert.com, edooce.com, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Tumblr.

He may actually have more web properties than I do.

If you ever have questions about video and its use in social media, Bryan is the guy to ask. I dabble, but he really uses it and loves it.

Just tell him I sent you and he’ll be more than happy to help.

RIGHT, BRYAN?!?!

So check him out online. Subscribe to his blog(s). Get to know him. You really, really won’t regret it.
