'The Italian language has a wonderful word: Asolare. It is loosely translated as spending time in a meaningless but delightful way. Some describe the word as bittersweet exile, referring to 15th century poet Cardinal Pietro Bembo’s affections toward exiled Cyprus Queen Catarina Cornaro. The Spanish language has another wonderful word: Vacilando.
