King Arthur has finally got his throne after 17 years. Arthur is the name of a cat from Upstate New York who won over Reddit Friday afternoon after his owner Elly Gibson, 25, shared a photo of a cardboard Iron Throne she made him. The throne, which was inspired by the HBO hit series "Game of Thrones," took an afternoon to make using a few cardboard boxes and paint.

"The reaction to this silly thing I made while watching TV has been pretty incredible. I definitely didn't expect it. I like reading all of the comments from Redditors telling stories about their own cats," Gibson told me. "My husband got him as a child and we are lucky enough to still have him in our lives. He's a very mischievous kitty and likes to push things off the coffee table."

Gibson's throne has gotten far more love than the latest season of "Game of Thrones." The show's eighth and final season has been panned by critics and viewers alike largely because producers no longer have George R. R. Martin's books to guide them. Gibson, for one, has been disappointed.

"I've yelled at my TV a few times. But I'm looking forward to the end, as disappointing as it may be," she said. "I'm predicting there will be a remake of sorts in a decade or so that maybe follow more closely to the books. Maybe if we're lucky, George R.R. Martin will churn out some more of those in the meantime."
