A new digital commerce platform, Collide, empowers creators to connect with their fans on a more personal level off of Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. The platform offers fans greater access to connect with creators while monetizing interaction and content consumption.

This platform and others like it are the new wave in monetizing content online. Previously, it had become the trend for larger online personalities to develop their own apps to monetize interaction with their fans. The luxury of having your own app can cost an upwards of $250,000In addition to heavy costs, the rise of the content creator has saturated the market, making it increasingly harder for creators to earn a sustainable living off of social media.

Now, Collide and its competitors offer creators a solution that functions like a personal app at a fraction of the price and effort to maintain. Content creators can use the web app to video chat, talk/text, offer multi-level subscriptions or even sell items to their fans. The creator driven marketplace is giving artists, influencers, experts and entrepreneurs the opportunity to create without restrictions and inspire long-term fan loyalty with meaningful interactions. Fans sign up to the site for free and then choose to subscribe for additional exclusive content and one-on-one interactions. Collide takes a one time, all-inclusive fee of 10% for subscriptions and 20% for Connect features and single item purchases.

“We wanted to create an ecosystem wherein Creators could easily design their self-sustaining business by leveraging their social media influence to monetize content and amplify connection with interaction,” Kelsey Malmberg, Chief Marketing Officer of Collide, "We believe in flipping the advertiser regulated paradigm into a creator driven marketplace. By motivating creators to build and manage their business with a portfolio of low-fee monetization mediums, we hope to effectively remove the pressures of finicky sponsorship deals and uninspiring ad revenue structures."

Creators and experts can use Collide to teach a course, train clients or even just give their fans a more intimate look into their lives. Instagram fitness influencer, Whitney Johns @whitneyjohns, has benefited from being able to have her own app within the Collide without having to break the bank. Johns can coach, interact, train and even meet her clients through the platform. If not for Collide, Johns would not have the ability to leverage her online following into a business. “I’ve loved using Collide. It allows me to seamlessly share knowledge and personally connect with people who truly want more an individualized coaching experience,” says Johns.

Collide’s model is attracting creators from Instagram to Youtube to Twitch with a more lucrative way to continue their creation process. As services such as Collide grow increasingly popular, will the major players in social media have to accommodate their top creators to keep them coming back to their platforms?
