Apparently it was hacked by some kind of redirection script that sent people who arrived from search engines including google.com (which also meant Feedburner, Gmail and Google+) to another site. Previously, I used Feedburner to manage my email subscribers. The thing I liked best about Feedburner was that it was free, but it lacked some key features. As I learned more about blogging, I discovered what Darren and others say about the importance of building an email list. I can include links in these emails. It is to me!

Subscriber Stats I really don’t know if I should continue reporting on Feedburner as the count is just far too erratic. But with Feedburner, who knows. Sorry to hear about the whole feedburner thing, I think we are all kind of feeling that it is just way unreliable. Yup you are right about the feedburner stats.

Don’t forget to explore avenues such as email listings, developing digital products, ebooks , and co-branding with other bloggers. For example, I sell other products through my email list that never appear on the site. Email also allows me to upsell other products and migrate customers across different lists.
