Microsoft Buys Domains with Hyphens, Skips Domains without Hyphens

If you don’t, then you may want to read my post about a test that was done regarding domain names with hyphens. That certainly opened up my eyes, and now I prefer domains without hyphens in them. Microsoft to Launch Microsoft Sway

But based on the number of domain names that have been purchased recently by Microsoft and their private acquisition of the Sway.com domain name leads me to believe that Sway is launching soon. No purchase price has been disclosed but it was likely six figures for the domain. Registrar URL: [link].

Even Huge Institutions Can’t Move Their Sites Properly to a New gTLD

As you may already know, I am an advocate of the New gTLD domain names. Jim’s pizza, who not only have MrJims.Pizza up and running, but they are advertising that URL on local television here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They just put up a “copy” of their main site on the same URL.

Again, other than the URL change this transition will be seamless to our users. It allows people to record and upload thoughts via a voice platform and then to share online. Easier to remember, right?
