For a few months now, I have had the opportunity to have access to the Google Domains program, where you can buy (and transfer in) domain names. Google has been a domain name registrar for many, many years now, but has only recently opened up their registrar services to the public.

There is a pretty nasty domain name appraisal scam going around that you need to be aware of if you own domain names. The scammer’s only intent is to make money from a domain name appraisal service, which is fake. This is a scam, and domain name owners should not fall for this online scheme.

Google Plus does recognize them , though. When you send an email to someone who uses Gmail, and you include a new gTLD in the email, Google does NOT make it a clickable link. TLDs, Gmail turns them into clickable links in the email when it was received, whether the sender made the domain name a clickable link or not.

I’m not sure what, but I am really curious as to why Microsoft recently registered 26 domain names at once: all related to the word contosoyams. The whole reason I bring this up is that Microsoft doesn’t normally register a lot of domain names all at once like this. Domain Names' contosoyams.net.

With the Google Penguin algorithm update affecting so many websites, I have personally be involved in cleaning up a LOT of websites’ link profiles. This also involves cleaning up link profiles because websites have been manually penalized by Google because of unnatural and inorganic links pointing to a website. ahrefs.com.

This has to be what I would personally call the most bizarre domain name sales pitch I have ever seen. The owner of a bunch of Cherokee Letter domain names is recommending that you buy his domain names–and use them in a Google AdWords campaign to commit what I would call outright fraud and deception.

I got the error message “Our internal risk system has prevented us from finding leads for this domain due to its material”. So, to accurately see your referral and website visitor traffic in Google Analytics, I recommend removing this or “excluding” semalt.com in your Google Analytics tracking. A popular website, JitBit.com, was recently taken offline because they failed to verify the site’s email address as listed in the whois record. If you own a domain name, you absolutely must verify your email address with your registrar. Last time I checked this Google was showing about 119,000 search results.
