Certainly, it’s not a comprehensive influence formula like Klout , or other Twitter-influence arbiters ( interesting study this week from Sysomos ), but it’s easy to calculate, and I think it makes sense. So, I’ve started to look at followers per tweet as a metric that focuses on the efficiency of time spent. Im Jay Baer.

To be fair, I’ve only included those I’ve actually used (Radian6, Sysomos, Spiral 16) or tested (Meltwater, SM2). However, many of the tools I mentioned above, Radian 6, Sysomos, etc, have a management/response component included in their workflow model. The main pitfall to avoid is flashy graphics for the sake of flashy graphics.
