However, I joined MySpace in 2006 to network with individuals who refused to use Facebook and to return to my liberal ways of accepting a lot more friend requests than I normally would. > click.

Besides major usability issues , duplicate stories submissions , and ads that literally scream at you , Digg has yet another issue to deal with: privacy. Plus, the privacy is only one way (incoming only). I was responding to Kelly who says that the privacy is still one way. Your friends can see them.

With Google Me and the rumoured Google Music, perhaps picking up ex-Myspace users is a better first step. If it can pick up people leaving Myspace and Facebook, social networks become a two horse race, with Google in the game. Google Buzz being shoe-horned into Googlemail, and the privacy uproar it created.

Just because my work includes strong involvement with social media doesn’t mean that I need to let everyone into my personal life… or for that matter… open my privacy so you can see all my posts. I kind of have an “old school&# approach but I also respect my privacy. Great post. Answers Yahoo!

They should in fact be blaming themselves for not learning the methods to control their own privacy. Or is this just creepy?

Companies must also uphold privacy laws. because the plaintiff’s wife learned about her husband’s infidelity directly from the online florist who, despite a privacy policy on its site, sent a card to their home thanking him for his business. Having a privacy policy or a social media policy is not enough.
