Facebook has announced a new version of its Comments Box plugin – its social plugin that enables Facebook-connected commenting on a website. Facebook’s Comment Box plugin. This carries over to the new plugin, meaning that a company’s Facebook Page can engage in conversations on third-party sites.

I don’t believe Twitter and Facebook will always dominate. The metrics available on Facebook are in many ways better than you can get from Google Analytics. Companies are starting to think of Facebook as a natural piece of the conversion funnel, not just as a free-standing silo. Facebook fan pages are email newsletters 2.0

Post it to your Facebook page. Even better, use TubeMogul to syndicate it to dozens of other video sites. Talk it up on Facebook and the blog. I have a great example: One that Facebook killed because it wasn't in line with their mass media-based (impressions and “size of network&# used to create it) values system.

Thought I was going to say “Facebook?&# Focusing solely on social media might be nice, but your marketing reach should be a little more extensive than focusing on Twitter and Facebook. And of course, don’t only focus on YouTube; there are other video syndication sites that you can spread your message to. Offer value.

I find it to be especially valuable and hassle-free for updating Twitter, Facebook, and LInkedin simultaneously. It doesn’t have the advanced functionality of Tweetdeck (such as cross-posting to Facebook), but it’s so easy-to-use that it’s my favorite Twitter app.
