Just because I manage to get 500 visitors a day from an article I submitted to article directories doesn’t mean you can get that much traffic doing the same thing. Submit your blog to directories relevant to your niche, like InsLink.com (an SEO/webmaster directory). What works for me might not work for you, and vice versa.

You can also use twitter based directories like twellow , wefollow , etc to find people who fall into the same categories as you. In your conversations work your brand in when it’s appropriate, field questions, and build the reputation of you and your product. After you’ve found these people join their conversations.
