Mobile campaigns that I have used typically have a higher response rate – I have seen our SMS messages get a 15-20% response rate which is huge if you think about that compared to standard banner ad response rates. The reason is that a message on your mobile device are more personal and are typically not avoided by the recipient.

ZapTXT also powers email, IM, and SMS alerts for sites like TheStreet.com. And dont look past Rasasa for RSS to SMS, IM, email. At the same time, some of these feed filtering services are doing some rather cool/useful things, like sorting by keyword or identifying the top posts in a feed (based on how many comments, diggs it got,etc).
