And judging by the SEOMOz toolbar’s ‘NoFollow’ indicator, the Facebook comments are followed links back to Facebook everytime. Look at the difference between similar sites in terms of technology e.g. Digg vs Reddit vs Hacker News, for example. Not reward Facebook for doing nothing.

Along with Twitter , Digg , Reddit , and other social media websites , Google’s blog search can even bring in some great traffic to your blog. I prefer to add it to Mixx because mixx.com is one of the few social bookmarking websites that do not use the “nofollow&# tag. I usually ask different people to submit it to a site.

No Follow Certain Links – Adding the nofollow attribute to certain links tells search engines not to pass Pagerank to them and not to give any ‘benefits’ to the receiving page or site. I also nofollow links to pages that don’t need my link juice such as About or Contact and even things like my RSS feed.

The influencers on Twitter tend to be those with the highest (natural) and most targeted follow count (maybe sad, but it’s true) and the influencers on Digg and Reddit are not the content creators, but the people submitting the content. Scan Neatorama, Digg, etc. It’s time to cloudjack, baby ! Consistency is key.

Digg lets you find news that you know hundreds of other people recommend. Leave Blog Comments Most blog comments are nofollowed (this means search engines aren’t supposed to give weight to the link, though I believe Yahoo and Bing still do) so they don’t provide much link juice directly.
