If you see that a certain site is sending a lot of RSS subscribers, you can work to get more traffic from that source. You can see how many people are subscribing to your RSS feed and from which sources, and if you use the new Google Analytics integration, you can see how many clicks each individual post is getting from feed readers.

Align RSS Images – I like to use images in my blog posts and I know I’m not alone. This plugin aligns images in your RSS feed so they are exactly where they would be on your site. I created a page that specifically tells new commenters about the sites RSS feed and how to subscribe. I highly recommend including both.

When the competition starts, I’m probably going to get thousands of visitors per day landing on the website, simply because I picked a keyphrase that I knew (thanks to Google Trends) people would be searching for once the event kicked off.
