Tweetdeck If you’re using Twitter in any way to build your personal brand or business, then Tweetdeck will help keep you organised. Not only does Tweetdeck keep things organised, but it also makes it very fast to message people and retweet good content. For some reason, I had a lot of issues with it a few months ago.

The Twitter integration in Netvibes actually includes the very same functionality of Tweetdeck. In fact, it’s so good that I have now uninstalled Tweetdeck from my Mac as this online version has some features even Tweetdeck was missing. I’ll definitely try this out and let you know how it works.

The issue of time. HootSuite puts all the accounts in one single interface (you can do the same with TweetDeck and Seesmic, I believe), but in terms of passwords, I usually use KeePass to store them with other relevant account information. This strategy of trying multiple accounts won’t work for everyone.

The problem arises that when you start following multiple people on Twitter; the information overload issue comes to the fore. The autotweets themselves ( I’ve blogged before on my feelings towards autotweets, so no need to dwell too much on the issue here ) give very little indication of the content that lies beyond.

Product Hunt is definitely getting it right. If they only tweet link posts, they might expand nicely on Twitter mobile app but not quite so for people who use TweetDeck, Twitter website or other third-party apps, which wouldn’t draw their attention without them clicking on them to expand.

Although the growth of this blog hasn’t directly correlated with more comments and tweets, it’s definitely had a large effect. Make Both Actions Easy If I can’t find a ‘retweet’ button on your website and didn’t find your post through Tweetdeck, I’m not going to tweet it. Thanks for tips.
