ChromeDeck, it’s TweetDeck for Google Chrome

Check this out Google Chrome users, TweetDeck has created an app, named ChromeDeck, that runs it’s multi-column twitter client in a tab. On my second monitor I have TweetDeck and Evernote going. I’m out hoboworking from whatever coffee shop or cafe will have me and I’m definitely not lugging another monitor around.

And for awhile Tweetdeck was meeting my needs, but I just grew increasingly more frustrated with performance issues with the Adobe Air platform. It certainly doesn’t suffer from the slow downs I experienced with Tweetdeck.

Will this new function put TweetDeck , SocialOomph and HootSuite out of business? But the scheduler will definitely help Facebook page admins who are trying to hit peak traffic times with updates. In addition, admins can also post things to appear in the past (but not before the page was launched). . Probably not.

Tweetdeck – I know most of those reading will know of Tweetdeck, but I have to add this to my list as I’ve tried practically all of the different Twitter apps, and in my opinion Tweetdeck just seems to work out the best. The iPhone app is the icing on the cake. I love that extension. very useful.

If you are viewing your newsfeed and see that an update is from an app (this includes HootSuite, Spotify, Tweetdeck, NetworkedBlogs, or anything with an icon), you can click on the dropdown arrow next to the update and select the Hide All by _. It’s definitely one to play with because of its odd behavoir. For now at least.).

Facebook is too busy monetizing and breaking its own features, too, which doesn’t help. Twitter, once so open, has become a closed-minded place—it’s not helped by Tweetdeck, which crashes like crazy now, and Metrotwit doesn’t handle multiple accounts. This could be the new Digg (something I’ve said for years). It’s buggy as heck.
