This is a cloud-hosted comment system, wich means that your comments are hosted on the Disqus platform, and by adding a plugin to WordPress you can show those comments alongside your posts. It’s more public and gives better results to share on Twitter or Facebook than it is leave a comment.

I think twitter is more of a heavily curated rss reader/feeder rather than a portal, and I suspect that presenting twitter to new users as more of a friendly way to use rss that as a way to push conversation with strangers would help quite a bit. I mean content should be king, not one-liners on the likes of Twitter. its high churn rate.:
