Well in a word Cotweet. In multiple words it would be that there are several services available like Cotweet, TweetFunnel , Hootsuite , and Splitweet which can help you achieve the goal of multiple users, one account. So that takes care of technology, but that’s always the easy part.

I’ll have to look into the new Exact Target tool. My clients are currently set up with Constant Contact which has been trying to add more social tools- but not quite cohesive yet. I reserve email subscriptions for those I truly want to receive more from.

Agencies should also be working with clients on using social media as a market research tool, by surveying fans or creating dedicated, invite-only brand communities that serve as a living focus group. My big issue with digital in general (and social media in particular) is that all too often tactical tools are held up as strategic solutions.

If you have a Twitter account, set up a CoTweet account to help manage interactions, and define who is responsible for interaction. There are tons of free and paid tools out there that help you to monitor the conversations taking place. Who is responsible for adding content? It might be different people for each task.
