I have to admit, I’m a WordPress theme junkie. I’m fascinated with the art of blog design, and I often find myself spending too much time browsing some of the industry leading WordPress theme sites. One that focused on the content, and less on everything else. The Standard Theme met all my requirements and more.

WordPress has changed the game and opened up the door giving the potential for anyone to create and publish great content and possibly earn a few bucks in the process. I’ve been toying around with WordPress for years, and the formula for launching a professional grade blog is not as difficult or expensive as you would think.

WordPress (free) – Invaluable app to manage your WordPress blog to manage posts, comments and pages. It just seems like a great use of the tablet form factor as I find myself consuming much more content with their approach. Pulse (free) – I really love the UI for this newsreader.

At the end of the day, driving eyeballs to my blog isn’t really the ultimate goal, writing useful and appreciated content is. I’ve embedded them as images since WordPress doesn’t play too nice with real tables (please, anyone with any insights on this one, do share!). But I like anyone loves to see people visit.

Make it as easy as possible for your readers to share your content. My personal fav is the Sexy Bookmarks plugin for WordPress. It goes without saying that after you post, to share your content everywhere. Enable your readers. Utilize above the fold share buttons like Tweetmeme & Facebook Share. Write effectively.
