Think outside the blog: Don’t get me wrong, this blog remains my number one love in terms of content creation, however, there are so many opportunities to create content, its a shame to limit it to the blog only. My favorite tidbit of info: 68% of consumers who posted a complaint or negative review on a social networking or ratings/reviews site got a response. I’ve always advised my clients that its better to have people complain in an open forum where it can be addressed. Of those, 18% turned into loyal customers and bought more.

While this crowd is hardly the “early adopters&# crowd, if you are marketing to boomers or anyone in retirement age, this data suggests that increasing your visibility on social networks is increasingly important.
