The same reason 40+ other bloggers are doing the same on websites like Social Media Today and in this case Social Media Informer. It just seems like a great use of the tablet form factor as I find myself consuming much more content with their approach. Synchs with Google Reader which is a major plus and easy to share articles to your networks. Sometimes it’s great just to get some high level information about your web and social stats.

So simple and unobtrusive, yet highly addicting and very informative. Quickly and easily you can see Google Pagerank, Alexa, Compete, and a variety of other data points. Simple, unobtrusive, and motivates me to want to write more compelling content to improve my numbers. I love that extension.

Direct traffic and Google account for the majority of the rest. Post your blog articles and/or relevant content. Make sure your information is always up to date so visitors to your profile have quick access to your site. Ever since doing so, roughly 20% of my blog traffic comes from Linked In. Just be sure not to over do it.

For those not familiar, Postrank is a nifty little WordPress plugin that provides some analysis into the social engagement factor of the content you create.
