There are pros and cons to bringing and using devices such as a smartphone, iPad and laptop. Working while you’re away can have an impact on what you’re there to do, whether it’s to have fun with your family or speak at a conference. What I would be focusing upon is one of the next two options, the first one being the iPad.

I don't trust hotel and conference center Internet connections (wired or wireless), and when I do need to present something online, I much prefer to be doing so with my own access point. If you're plugging in multiple remotes and dongles, etc. it's always good to have a thin and small USB hub (just in case). Rocket stick. iphone app.

Work stuff – my work laptop is pretty cumbersome, but will still need to check in during the conference. So I’ll bring my lighter netbook and iPad mini. One is for work in the hotel and the other is for taking notes or tooling around the web while in the convention center (plus it will help me save battery on my phone).

All of our conference rooms use it. We’ve converted our conference rooms to having large displays built into the walls, like a 55-inch TV with just a simple $80 or $90 webcam bolted into the wall. I have the application on my iPad, I just haven’t done it much. The quality is really excellent. Justin : Thank you.

1/3 of ipad only apps are games. 1/3 of ipad only apps are games. 1/3 of ipad only apps are games. People are still bashing the iPhone and excited to have the iPad as a new whipping boy. Makes more sense during a conference so you can find out where people are, but that's just an occasional need, not full time.
