While I truly love the energy and content at tech conferences, I’m struck (and, at moments, slightly entertained) by the differences in style and etiquette between the entrepreneurial tech events and those with a? Sadly, this is a commentary on the male/female ratio at these events. more traditional, corporate bent.

While the actual conference will take place over the next two days, there are many pre-conference parties and activities today.? The focus of each event is different, with the music and film events having been around longer than the interactive one. I’d guess that this unusual evolution has led to a tech event which is more like a festival than a pure conference. It’s just an event; it’s not the devil and it’s not Mecca.

I was just offered a ticket to an event I really wanted to attend. To receive the free ticket, the caveat was that I would need to publish a post promoting the event – right now. Instead, I suggested that I blog about key learnings from the conference which I felt would benefit my readers and community.

My other goal is to be your representative at the conference. BlogWorld has a jam-packed schedule of conference sessions, networking, and socializing, but I will do my best to get you some feedback and advice in response to your questions. I’ll be taking my video camera with me and hope to interview some of the bloggers I meet.
