Then, figure out whether it already has posts that reach your target market. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to create something from scratch.

Everyone knows that data from Nielsen, Compete, Quantcast, Alexa and their ilk is only semi-accurate unless the site chooses to report actual numbers, so we’ve mostly accepted the fact that website traffic is a dull topic not worth our curiosity or bile.

Try Compete, Quantcast and Alexa, but be aware that none offer completely accurate data. If most of the posts look spammy, are badly structured, or are just generally low quality, you should be wary. Also, if you see more ads than content on the website, it’s a good idea to give the site a miss. Check competitive data sources.

Hopefully upon reading this, those small product review blogs will come away with a better idea of how to compete with the big boys and score more luxurious and expensive products to review, more often. Use your own domain. If it is not accurate, it is really not great at all. It shows laziness and a little bit of incompetence.
