Just like you can comparison shop for a camera (and you hopefully check ResellerRatings to ensure that the dealer is reputable), so too, you should comparison shop for a service provider. I know Radian6 is excellent but it’s also very pricey for someone who only works with one or two clients.

I think the thing that struck me as particularly worthwhile talking about today was the deal with Radian6 / Salesforce and Twitter to give them real time firehose access to the Twitter tweets API , which as far as I know Twitter has never done that, has never given an individual vendor access at that level.
