The decline is only slight, but in comparison to the steady increases I saw a few years back, it’s been declining (as a percentage of overall traffic) for me, at least. Facebook, StumbleUpon, Digg, and other social media sites have provided great influxes of traffic at times; other months, they’re very low. Search Engines.

I looked at referral data for 2008, 2009 and 2010 to-date and for comparison also included Facebook and Digg. The highs for Facebook and Digg were 2% and 7.2% The Digg percentages varied the most with straight news sites faring best. It is interesting that Digg is trending down this year. Is Digg losing steam?

It certainly isn’t 100% accurate (though no analytics tool is) and the only downside in my opinion is the delay in reporting. Get Clicky Get Clicky is another free analytics tool, but this one reports analytics in real-time. If you want to check the stats for today, you have to wait until tomorrow. Hope this helps.
