One downside to oversharing is that communities like Twitter seem to self police themselves. We should never take stalking lightly, even if we make it easier for folks to do it with geo-location sites like foursquare, SCVNGR and Facebook places. It is definitely scary.

If companies were aware of the space, it was often from a communications perspective. Fast forward to today and the space is littered with case studies of company X, Y or Z making some serious coin off their community. Boston’s Boloco does a great job of this using Twitter and foursquare.
