You can see how many people are subscribing to your RSS feed and from which sources, and if you use the new Google Analytics integration, you can see how many clicks each individual post is getting from feed readers. This is a community site where the content with the most votes gets pushed to the homepage.

I went from having over 150 blogs in my feed reader in the last few years to just 12, purely because I was seeing the same content over, and over (and over) again. Simply change the tag in the URL to whatever you write about and you’ll find popular content around that topic. Well done once again, Glen!

Subscriber Stats Monitoring your subscriber stats is probably the best way to track how well your audience is growing.

Although I don’t have any goals for the size of the community here, I still think it is an interesting metric to monitor. July 1st : 7,543 July 31st : 8,174 Change : +631 For writing so little, and having a lot less traffic than most months, July didn’t turn out too badly at all in terms of feed growth.

Use social networks respectfully to share the best of your content, in a community-appropriate setting. Podcast content can have links to your URL and might draw awareness back to your content, too. Not everyone needs a blog.
