One thing all of the most popular social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, even Pinterest and TikTok) have in common in the asynchronous nature of their content. Clubhouse may never have three billion users like Facebook , or even 300 million like Twitter. Facebook long ago lost its cool factor.

In the age of Facebook, Plaxo and LinkedIn, it is all to easy to start thinking of the network as numbers. Standard networks are collecting numbers (Facebook etc)= quantity, truly effective networks are about relationships = quality. by communicating with customers as people. Community Newsletter.

Soocial : a really nice online address book, and something I prefer greatly to Plaxo, which is what I used to use, until it decided it wanted to be something other than Plaxo. So with Newsle, you can send a congratulatory note, post to their Facebook wall, etc., Founded by my friend Jared Goralnick. What’s not to love?

Track things like audience/community sentiment (positive/negative) if you want to map effort to results. Facebook and/or MySpace are useful social networks where you can build outposts (see next list). Get a LinkedIn account for your professional network. Take a second look at Plaxo. Build RSS outposts on Facebook.
