At first glance, Joomla isn’t the best platform for blogging. But that doesn’t negate all the strengths Joomla brings to the table as a content management system. Why even give Joomla a chance? I know what you’re thinking: why on earth would you even consider blogging with Joomla? Not everything is missing.

I think Livefyre, the comment system that has been implemented on WUL for just under two months , is da bomb. I’m not one to get overly excited by blog comment systems, but this one has me blown away. in my opinion, than other comment systems that allow you to post your comments to, say, Facebook or Twitter?

Open source content management systems like WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal are good options. High-Quality Content. You can’t blog successfully without quality content. Is your content fresh and unique, or is it is just a rehash of old, tired material? They can link to and share your content.

Rewarding badges and points systems on your intranet – social scorecards – could be the turning point for turning your enterprise 2.0 systems from a thing of work to a thing of play. Obvious one is Community Moderator for those that volunteer community admin duties. cough cough*. Mores the pity.
