Are you Blabbing up a storm yet?

Meerkat and Periscope are being used as broadcasting tools for the most part. Sure, there is conversation in the comment stream but frankly, in a buzy stream it can hard to respond and focus. Mention them in the comment stream with their username and they’ll be tagged with a notification. Want to get more people in Blab?

Don’t be a Pest with “This Social Media Stuff”

She’d send them emails with links to blogs they could comment on, tweets for their information, etc. Several other people in the room commented they had similar issues. Any Marketer worth her salt knows that pretending to be the CEO and writing tweets–god forbid commenting as– the CEO is social media poison.

Google+ Communities Yay or Wait and See?

We can also hope they will open up the API for developers so tools can be created to monitor and administrate communities remotely. Within a community if you add your comment on an older discussion it doesn’t move to the top, so unless you are watching that discussion carefully you could completely miss new comments.

Part of my job is to try out applications, tools, networks and such so I can tell my clients if they’re worth the learning curve or a waste of their bandwidth. Now I can respond to those posts, find out what else that person is sharing and add them to my network, follow up with a direct comment or go read their blogs and learn more.
