As a blogger, there are numerous tools at your disposal to track how your content is doing. It also breaks down where engagement events are occurring for the time period (comments, Digg, Twitter).

Tool Tuesday: SocialOomph

Welcome Direct Messages are both a useful tool and the bane of the Twitter existence. I tried their paid service and I just felt that that overall, the services were clunky and in some cases, redundant to tools I like better. For those services, I use and suggest SocialOomph. Some are free, some are part of their paid service.

When people start with the tools I just want to take a book out of my Kindergarten lessons, shove my fingers in my ear and start saying “ Nah Nah Nah…I can’t hear you! Once you know where your customers are and WHY they are there, then you can start developing your tools. What do you have to offer? Probably not.

There also isn’t direct advertising on Google+, though there IS a handy search tool called “Sparks&# , but its completely organic without any advertising. Its in the hands of the people – its the ultimate intersection of social media: the blending of digital tools and humans. Will that change? I don’t know.

According to Twitalyzer ) You can also use a tool like TweetReach to monitor a particular #hashtag, URL, phrase or user name. Analyze the links every 30-60-90 days and watch for consistencies for what is shared and commented on. The paid version is well worth it for particular campaigns.
