App dot net- It’s not Twitter

Founder Dalton Caldwell created this new network–known to fans as ADN– a mere 12 weeks ago as an ad-free, real-time social network. The difference between ADN and Twitter. When you look at App.net initially the website itself looks like a stripped down version of Twitter. I like that. How does App.net work?

Marketers are freaking out about Facebook

Twitter shares, by the way, jumped almost 5% on the announcement. Brands are deciding if they are going to commit more ad $$ to Facebook or if they should move to other networks. The concept of a social network that is devoted to it’s users actually having conversations is appealing. What does it mean?

The Art of the Retweet

On Twitter a Retweet can be a valuable way to share information with your network, build your following and pay homage to the person retweeted. If you are in a Twitter application there is likely a RT button. On Twitter if you click the retweet link under the post it will retweet it for you but will not allow you to edit.

Are you Blabbing up a storm yet?

Sure, there is conversation in the comment stream but frankly, in a buzy stream it can hard to respond and focus. Both apps allow some engagement with your Twitter following, and Meerkat also gives the option to connect to your Facebook account. After a Blab go connect and comment on their posts. resolves a lot of these issues.
