Some news sites are supplementing content links with direct questions and comments to users, but this does not appear to be happening in any significant volume. To judge user engagement and activity, I also calculated the average number of “likes” and comments that the last 10 updates/links to each page received. NPR 489,413 513.5

Releases are posted on their press release page (and in its RSS feed) and tweeted via @muckrack , which currently has 5k+ followers. Based on their press release page and RSS feed, since the service launched in late July they’ve distributed 51 press releases, a small number being their own.

After reviewing several days’ worth of activity, I have to say that nearly anything Fox News posts to its page ends up getting a decent amount of likes and comments from fans. In looking through the site though one thing stands out – nearly every item has no comments or reactions: That seems odd, but it’s not just a holiday season slowdown. As of today the Colts’ official Facebook page has 249,481 fans and their wall posts are getting a good amount of “likes” and comments.
