Takes the “grunt work” (if you want to call it that) out of tracking your Google analytics by putting the Javascript in for you so you don’t have to edit your template. I LOVE DISQUS. Once you sign up for it, you can use your login ID across any blog that has the Disqus plugin, and it makes replying so much easier. Tweet This!

Initial idea: “Should You Stop Taking Comments on Your Blog?”. In the end the title became “ Should You Disable Comments on Your Blog? ” (which is far more succinct), but it was good enough for the planning phase. This is the brief version of my plan for the post: Introduction – why close comments? Close them or not? Conclusion.

Although there are numerous templates available online, no size fits all. Most importantly, make sure it is visible to all and if anybody has any questions there is someone who is able to explain clearly why the guidelines have been put in place. Before you go looking for the templates I use for my landing pages, also understand I have a really great designer who just happens to be ShortStack’s designer. Disqus Comment System : I’ve used Disqus pretty much from the jump. Or I’ll get someone screaming about how great some other comment system is.

A lot of websites enable users to "like" on Facebook or "tweet"on Twitter right on the page, but enabling comments does a lot more. You can enable Facebook comments right with Facebook for Developers: Or you can use a plugin or other service, like Livefyre or Disqus. On the positive side, they: Display comment threads.
